Jon Dunn – Specialist Investigator with 25+ Years of Experience

 

I’m Jon Dunn, founder of Jon Dunn Investigative Services. With over two decades of experience in regulatory, criminal, financial, and workplace investigations, I bring a calm, methodical, and discreet approach to every case.

​

My investigative career began at HM Revenue & Customs, where I developed deep expertise in financial analysis, compliance auditing, and risk assessment. Having completed the 18-month Investigator Training Course, I spent eight years investigating complex tax cases, reviewing business records, and negotiating financial settlements.

​

I then joined the British Horseracing Authority, where I led some of the sport’s most high-profile corruption investigations. My work covered race-fixing, anti-doping, misuse of inside information, and personal misconduct - often in collaboration with law enforcement.

​

In 2008, while working as an Investigator at the UK Gambling Commission, I obtained an Advanced Professional Certificate in Investigative Practice.

​

Most recently, I worked at National Grid, conducting internal investigations into breaches of the company’s Code of Ethics. These included cases involving bullying, harassment, discrimination, theft, and workplace violence.

​

Now based in the East Midlands, I’ve launched my own investigative practice to offer flexible,
high-quality support to clients across the UK. I’m a Full Member of the Association of British Investigators, and as a requirement of membership, I am registered with the ICO and hold Professional Indemnity Insurance.
